National Women’s Month

As we celebrate National Women’s Month, we want to recognize and honor the incredible contributions of women throughout history. This month, we would like to highlight the achievements of Trish Steele, an inspiring woman who has dedicated her life to helping survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Celebrating Trish Steele

Trish Steele is the founder and CEO of the non-profit organization, Safe Passage, which provides support, resources, and healing services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Her own experience as a survivor of domestic violence led her to create Safe Passage in 1992, and since then, the organization has helped countless survivors heal and rebuild their lives.

Trish Steele’s work has not gone unnoticed. She has received numerous awards and honors, including the United Nations NGO CSW/DPI Women of Distinction Award and the George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award. In 2018, she was also featured in the documentary film, “A Call to Remember,” which chronicles her journey as a survivor and her work with Safe Passage.

As we celebrate National Women’s Month, we are reminded of the countless women who have made significant contributions to society and have worked tirelessly to create a better world for future generations. Trish Steele is one of these women, and we are grateful for her dedication and commitment to ending domestic violence and sexual assault.
